Idaho Falls Planning New Skate Park
Help Design New Idaho Falls Skate Park

A brand new skate park is in the works in Idaho Falls and the city's Parks and Recreation Department is asking for your help in the design process.
The new digs will sit right where the current skate park is located in Tautphaus Park.
The old equipment will be relocated next to Clair E. Gail Junior High.
The estimated $300,000 10,000-square-foot park will be made all of concrete with in-ground bowls and street skating equipment, including multiple rails.
The Parks and Rec Department encourages anyone interested in the new skate park to bring design ideas to an upcoming public meeting.
Rich Straub, I.F. Parks and Rec Superintendent: "The more input from the community, the more this skate park will fit the community."
The first meeting will be held nexted Wednesday, October 24th, at the Clair E. Gale Junior High auditorium.
The second meet will be held at the same place and same time on the 15th of November.
Construction is slated to begin in April.
